Viral
marketing is the modern way to advertise
a product, so why not go viral to
alert people who cannot gamble normally
that resources are available to help
them. The California Council on Problem
Gambling and Office of Problem Gambling
are joining forces to provide easy
access for people, including those
whose primary language is other than
English, to find what they need on
a new website that will speak to them
in their language.
The
website also intends to provide a
forum for ethnic community leaders
and role models to explore the world
of problem gambling and its effect
on the community. Contact CCPG at
(714) 765-5804 for more information
about how you can teach us how to
help your community.
Plans
call for the website to be introduced
to the public in January 2010 with
text available in Chinese and Spanish.
Vietnamese, Hmong, Korean and Tagalog
languages will be available in the
summer of 2010.
