Council Financial Information

How is the Council funded?

The Council is currently funded by voluntary contributions from businesses and other interested parties, and is consistently working on an operating budget to support each of our much needed programs.

What percentage of my donation goes to support Council programs?

According to the Council's most recent financial audit, approximately 74% of the Council's funding is expended supporting it's program services.

What programs are supported by my donation?

The Council currently provides a speakers bureau, literature distribution, clinical training, employee awareness training and most importantly a Problem Gambling Helpline.  The Helpline serves as the first point of contact for those individuals in crisis reaching out for help.  Without the Helpline those people affected by problem gambling in California would not have anywhere to turn when they need to seek assistance.  The Helpline is the most expensive program the Council supports with an average cost of $60,000 per year.  This does not include administrative, material or mailing costs.  This is the amount of funding needed simply to keep the number up and running.

How can I obtain a copy of the Council's most recent annual financial report?

You can obtain a copy of the Council's most recent IRS Form 990 by contacting the office directly.
