the Executive Director
Robert
Jacobson
Robert Jacobson was named the Executive
Director of the California Council
on Problem Gambling in June 2011.
Robert’s first casino job
was in Las Vegas, where he lived
for 15 years, in 1995. In 1998,
Robert moved to California and began
working for Native American casinos.
During the ensuing 12 years, Robert
worked for two of California’s
largest casinos and held a variety
of positions ranging from blackjack
dealer to manager. Between 2006
and 2010, Robert’s job duties
centered upon marketing, project
management, operational analysis
and training.
In
January of 2011, after spending
28 years in and around the gambling
industry, Robert seized the opportunity
to provide help to Problem Gamblers
and their families by joining the
Council as a Project Director.
