Charlie Hoar
Clinical Psychologist, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II), Certified Gambling Counselor (NCGC-I, and CCGC-I), Charlie maintains a private practice in Del Mar, CA, and is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, treating clients with co-occurring disorders and supervising interns. She has formerly managed EAP programs in Tampa, FL and San Diego, CA, and has a wide experience as a staff psychologist and program manager in military drug and alcohol treatment facilities for the Marine Corps, Navy and Army. She has been working with problem gamblers and their families for over 6 years. She volunteers for Give An Hour, and the Semper Fi Fund.

Steve Kobashigawa

Suzanne Koch Eckenrode
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, National and California Certified Gambling Counselor II with a private practice in Orange and San Diego Counties. She has treated gamblers and their families for over a decade; developed and implemented a successful gender specific track for the unique needs of the female gamblers; and given numerous trainings and presentations on problem gambling, co-occurring disorders and clinical issues. Suzanne has also written professional papers on “Problem Gambling and Women” and “Problem Gambling among Venue Employees.” Suzanne was the lead clinician for a Partial Hospital Mood Disorder Program, Dual Diagnosis Treatment Center, Residential Substance Abuse Program and has had experience in psychiatric hospitals, community and University clinics.

Ms. Pak is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a California/Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor in private practice in San Diego. Ms. Pak currently serves as the treasurer of the San Diego Alcohol and Drug Services Providers Association, Executive Committee. Ms. Pak has given numerous presentations and participated in the training of other providers in the area of co-occurring disorders, mental illness and substance/gambling addiction. Ms. Pak is a long term advocate for the need of gambling prevention and treatment services for San Diego residents.
